Have sufficient financial resources or to be of the appropriate financial standing :- £8,000 for the first heavy goods vehicle or £1,600 for the first light goods vehicle if no heavy goods vehicles operated.£4,500 for each additional heavy goods vehicle and £800 for each light goods vehicle.
Have satisfactory facilities and arrangements for maintaining vehicles in a fit and serviceable condition.
Suitable operating centre to store vehicles when not in use.
Systems in place to check drivers hold the correct licence, CPC qualifications and are allowed to work in the uk.
System in place to make sure vehicles are not overloaded.
System in place to collect and analyse drivers hours for compliance.
Transport Manager to maintain compliance of all systems, procedures, vehicles and drivers.
